Claire St. Peter, West Virginia University and Erica Feuerbacher, Virginia Polytechnic Institute

Behavior analysis has practical applications not just to human behavior, but also to behavior change across species. Behavior analysis also provides a useful framework in which to examine the potential impacts of interactions between humans and animals. In this webinar, we will introduce applied behavior analysis with animals, including providing examples of research and practice using ABA with animals. We will then compare behavior-analytic approaches to behavior change across humans and animals. We will draw parallels and contrasts to these approaches, and discuss how working with animals can draw our attention to ways that we can improve outcomes with human learners. Finally, we will explore the impacts of human-animal interactions on learning, health, and performance for both human and animal.
